The alchemy of healing – inspiring the Shen Dao in practice

This will be a deep immersion into the consciousness of both the Great Luo of Shao Yin (passage of Water and Fire) and the Ren Mai – channel of bonding. Over the 2 days we will explore why these channels as conduits of Yuan Qi can open doorways for deep healing and self-cultivation, both for ourselves as practitioners and for our patients.

I would like to offer you what I have found to be profoundly effective in my practice. How to anchor the pure vibration of the channels using our hands/needles and voices. Exploring how we can cultivate these channels within ourselves and how to evoke them in others. Each one of us has the potential to heal the original wound and walk the passage of Water to True Fire. This includes the healing of ancient ancestral wounds and trauma which are carried through our lineage.

The ancient Daoists and practitioners of classical Chinese medicine believed that we are Spirit incarnate, here to unfold our destiny. To move through the journey of transforming Jing (our ancestry and potential) into Shen and eventually when the ‘curriculum’ is complete, we may achieve what was known as the ‘True Fire’ of Self-realisation.

Over the two-day practical workshop, we will:

• Discuss the Daoist philosophy of alchemy and the journey through the 9 Palaces.
• Explore key elements of the first ancestry of the Qi Jing Ba Mai (8 Extraordinary Meridians) – Great Luo of Shao Yin (Chong Mai 2^nd trajectory) into Ren Mai– through discussion, meditation, Tui na and healing sounds.
• Discuss and experience the cultivation of these deep vessels tangibly within your body and bring them to life in your hands and voice.
• Discuss pathology arising from Ren Mai issues, and obstruction of the Great Luo of Shao Yin.
• Be reminded of the therapeutic significance of working on the Blood Mansion, including releasing the diaphragm and the importance of breath.
• Explore the palpation and release of both the Kidney Shu points and the 8 navel gates.
• Deepen our Tui na/acupuncture skills including key techniques e.g. Burning mountain, Deep Qi Zhen fa, Yi Zhi Chan Tui fa.
• Experience the power of applying the 6 Healing sounds to the channels of focus.
• Discuss the role of the practitioner – inspiring and empowering patients to cultivate their own channels, to work with their destiny and Shen Dao.
