TCMA organizes a study trip to Chengdu, China – Spring 2025
After several years without an acupuncture internship trip to China, we have finally planned one again, this time led by Yuhsin Chung.
From Monday, May 26 to Friday, June 6, you will have the unique opportunity to participate in a 10-day internship at Chengdu University Hospital, with an additional two mornings at a special eye clinic. In the eye clinic, tuïna is also used to treat eye disorders in addition to acupuncture. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and broaden your horizons
You will participate in an internship every morning for 10 days, and there will be theory lessons on 4 afternoons.
The accommodation is at the Gongxili – Xige Hotel, which is a 10-minute walk from the university. The hotel is located in the historic district in the city centre, with several restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away. It is a great base from which to further explore the city. We will book the hotel for you and will confirm your arrival and departure dates upon registration.

Costs for the internship and accommodation for 14 days are €2200 per person, based on a shared room with two separate beds.*
Costs for the internship and accommodation in a single room are €2500.*
What you need to arrange yourself:
- Apply for an X2 visa (approximately €155)
- Flight from the Netherlands to Chengdu
- We can organize excursions upon request; these are not included in the rate.
Cancellation Costs:
- 50% of the hotel costs up to 2 months before departure
- Up to 1 month before departure: 50% of the hotel costs plus 50% of the internship costs
- Full costs are due if cancellation occurs 1 week before departure.
We will organize an information afternoon about this trip; further details will follow in due course.
